Week 6

The sixth week of the school internship marked the resumption of internship activities after the third-semester examinations. The week focused mainly on re-engaging students in academic learning through interactive and ICT-supported teaching strategies.

On 7th January 2026, I handled a class for IX F during the 5th period on the topic “Factors Affecting Kinetic Energy.” The lesson was made engaging through the use of visuals related to potential and kinetic energy, which stimulated students’ thinking. Discourse techniques were effectively used to guide students in identifying and formulating the factors affecting kinetic energy, promoting active participation and conceptual understanding.

On 8th January 2026, I conducted a Chemistry class for VIII D on the topic “Solubility” from the unit Water. The lesson was ICT-based, with well-designed slides that captured students’ attention. Concept-based questions were provided through QR codes and digital links, offering students a novel and interactive learning experience. The use of technology enhanced curiosity and encouraged independent exploration.

The week involved limited co-curricular activities. A medical-related campaign was conducted in the school, during which worm tablets were distributed to students as part of a health and welfare initiative.

Overall, the sixth week helped in smoothly transitioning students back into academic learning after examinations and strengthened my skills in using ICT tools and interactive discourse methods in the classroom.
