The eighth week of my teaching practice was marked by active classroom engagements, meaningful learning experiences, and vibrant co-curricular events. During this week, I handled various topics across different classes, integrating interactive methods and practical activities to enhance student understanding. On 22nd September, I took a class for 8D on the topic Thermal Conductivity. To begin with, I reviewed the students’ prior knowledge about malleability and ductility. For Activity 1, I provided different types of vessels to help students observe and identify how materials conduct heat, leading them to the concept of thermal conductivity. In Activity 2, the definition of thermal conductivity was discussed and clarified. During the closure activity, students were shown different objects and were asked to classify them as good conductors and poor conductors of heat. On 23rd September, I handled a session for 9F on Newton’s Second Law of Motion. The class followed the 5E model. I ...

Teaching practice (week 8):15/09/2025 -19/09/2025

During 8th week, I took three classes. On 15th september I took class for 9F on the topic momentum.I began by checking the students’ prior knowledge through a short interactive discussion. To make the concept more concrete, I provided a real-hand experience using Newton’s Cradle, which helped them visualize how inertia works in real situations. The understanding was further reinforced by giving a related problem to solve, followed by appropriate closure activities to summarize the concept effectively. On 17th September, I handled a class for 9F on the topic Rate of Change of Momentum. The session started with a few thought-provoking questions to assess their previous understanding of momentum. For Activity 1, a numerical problem was given to strengthen their analytical skills, followed by Activity 2, where a higher-level problem was introduced to encourage critical thinking. The class concluded with a meaningful closure activity that helped the students consolidate the learning outcome...

Teaching practice (week 7) 10/09/2025 - 12/09/2025

The seventh week of my teaching practice began on 10th September 2025, as the school reopened after the Onam vacation on 8th September. Returning to the classroom atmosphere after the short break was refreshing, and the students were equally enthusiastic to resume their lessons and activities. On 10th September, I handled a class for  9F during the fifth period. The topic taught was “Inertia” from the chapter Laws of Motion. Before introducing the new concept, a quick review of Newton’s First Law of Motion was done to establish a connection between the previous and current topics. To make the concept more relatable, I began with Activity 1, where a video of passengers moving in a bus was shown to help students visualize the effect of inertia in real-life situations. This was followed by a hands-on classroom experiment, which helped students explore and understand the idea more deeply through direct observation and discussion. The next class was conducted on 12th September 2025,...
