Week 4(17/11/2025 -21/11/2025)

The fourth week of my internship focused on the use of varied teaching models and active student participation, along with involvement in several co-curricular activities that supported students’ holistic development.

On 17th November 2025, no classes were allotted, and the day was utilized for observation and preparation.

On 18th November 2025, I handled a class for VIII D on the topic “Alkalis” from the unit Acids, Bases, and Salts. The lesson began with a rapid-fire session, which helped in activating students’ prior knowledge and creating interest.

For Activity 1, magnesium ribbon was given to students to perform the activity, encouraging hands-on learning.

For Activity 2, different solutions were provided, and students were asked to identify the common ion present. Through this activity, students arrived at the concept of bases independently. A follow-up and enrichment activity was given to reinforce learning.

On 19th November 2025, I took a class for VIII B on “Neutralization Reactions” from the same unit. The lesson was planned using the 5E instructional model, which helped students explore, explain, and elaborate the concept systematically. The students responded positively and enjoyed learning through this structured and interactive model.

On 21st November 2025, I conducted a class for VIII B on the topic “Salts” from the unit Acids, Bases, and Salts. The lesson was based on the Concept Attainment Model, where positive and negative examples were presented. Students identified and labeled the correct examples from the unlabeled set, which enhanced their analytical and reasoning skills.

In addition, on 28th November 2025, I handled a Physics class for IX F on the topic “Lactometer” from the unit Buoyancy Forces. The lesson was organized using the Advanced Organizer Model. In the first phase, a video presentation was shown. In the second phase, models of a lactometer and hydrometer were displayed and differentiated. In the final phase, a lactometer was demonstrated in detail, and its working principle was explained.

The week also included several co-curricular activities. Programmes related to National Integration Day were conducted on 19th November, including an answer-both quiz game session. Universal Children’s Day was celebrated on Thursday, and prizes for both NationQal Integration Day and Children’s Day competitions were distributed during the morning assembly. A medical camp was also organized during the week to support students’ health and well-being.

Overall, the fourth week of the internship strengthened my ability to apply different teaching models effectively and enhanced my understanding of the importance of co-curricular activities in school education
