Teaching practice (week 10):29/09/2025-3/10/2025

 The tenth week of my teaching practice began on 29th September 2025. The day was marked by the conclusion of the school Kalasavam, which made the campus vibrant with various cultural programs and performances. The following days, 30th September and 1st October, were declared holidays due to Vijaya Dashami, and 2nd October was a holiday in observance of Gandhi Jayanti. On 3rd October 2025, preparations and arrangements were made in the school for the Sub-Jilla level programs. As a result, no regular classes were conducted during this week.









Though no teaching sessions were held, the week provided valuable exposure to the organizational aspects of school-level and sub-district programs, enhancing my understanding of school administration and event coordination.

 During this week, I had the opportunity to handle Class 9F for the introduction of the chapter Sound and its continuation. On 27th January 2026, the chapter was introduced for the first time using the 5E instructional model. Since this model emphasizes active student engagement and inquiry-based learning, the class initially felt challenging to manage. However, as the lesson progressed, the topic itself captured the students’ interest. The use of varied learning experiences related to sound helped in sustaining their attention. Teaching practice week1 16/07/2025 to 19/07/2025

                    This was my first week of teaching practice at VPMHSS Vellarada for my third semester teaching practice in  B.Ed programme. I reached the school at 9:00 am in  all days of the week without any delay. In this week, I took 4 classes.                         On 16th July I took a lesson plan on 8D based on the topic molecules of the chapter Elements and compounds.I used  concept attaintment model for the class.During the first phase ,I presented some positive examples including oxygen ,carbon dioxide ,water etc and negative example Iron, hydrogen atom, helium etc, then I ask students to compare both examples and find out the essential attributes and after that I gave some unlabelled examples and ask the students to distinguish it into positive and negative examples and after that I analysed the session and presented a chart showing the defi...

Teaching practice (week 2) 21/07/2025 - 26/07/2025

 The second week of my teaching practice turned out to be an enriching experience with both classroom sessions and co-curricular activities adding variety to the week.                     On 21st July, I handled a class for 8D during the 7th period. The topic was “Elements”, and I tried to make the session more engaging through different activities. For the introduction, I performed a simple experiment followed by an activity that caught the attention of the students. I introduced the concept of atoms and built the foundation for the topic. For the closure activity, I gave the students a word rearrangement task, where they had to form the definition of elements.
